Herbie and Ruby

We spent a magical day with 'Big' Ruby (not to be confused with baby Ruby) and Uncle Herbie. Mommy says these are our cousins whom she loves very much. They are very silly! We had a wonderful day in the sunshine watching the people. I couldn't sleep with all the excited. It was the PERFECT day with amazing company and beautiful weather. I can't wait to see them again soon.

Falling for FALL

Autumn is here and we are loving it. This time last year I was new to the world. I saw my home for the first time on Thanksgiving Day and slept through most of November and December. Now I love to feel the brisk air and the sun shining on my face. I like to feel the crinkly leaves and of course try to eat them. I like the smooth skin of a pumpkin and the handle built right in for little people like me. Fall is Fun! Here I am enjoying the first weeks of September =)

Rosh Hashanah was from sundown to sundown - September 5th to September 6th. Hope everyone dusted off their yarmulkes and ate some apples with honey like we did (okay, got me there...I can't have honey yet)

9 Months

I'm 9 Months!

Well, it's official - I'm getting to be a big girl. I learned how to crawl forward. Woohoo! Now when I want something, I crawl as fast as can be to get to it...


I also sprouted my two bottom teeth called the lower central incisors.

I point to objects I want, can wave with both hands and clap. I ask for food by saying "Nom Nom" and have also taken to calling mommy "Mom Mom". I said "Hi" a few times but I'm not ready to repeat it yet. My favorite book is the Sneetches by Dr. Suess



My favorite toy is my bunny that makes sounds. I like to chew its ears. I'm trying to stand on my own and love to walk holding hands with a big person. All this growing and learning makes me tired. Goodnight!

Cousins Unite

Under sad circumstances, the Stein family was recently in MD. We are very sorry for their loss, however we were so delighted to spend time together. Ruby and I had a ball playing and making a mess during lunch. We had lots of fun but certainly missed Jordan. Happy early 10th Birthday to Jordy and 1st Birthday to Rubes. Hope to see you again soon!

Boo! It's Lily at the Zoo!

For locals, you will get the reference toward the annual Boo at the Zoo night here in DC. It was a gorgeous, breezy, summer day on August 4th and what better place to go than the Zoo! After nap time we took the metro over to see the animals.
